Istanbul and Contemporary Architectural Practices
stajİstanbul is a 10-day internship program designed for architecture students studying at institutions outside of Istanbul, aiming to broaden their perspectives by experiencing diverse architectural environments within the city. Held from September 3 to 14, 2024, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Atilla Dikbaş, and organized by Prof. Dr. Levent Arıdağ, Res. Asst. Betül Uçkan, and Res. Asst. Ecem Altıntaş, the program was conducted under the title “stajİstanbul 2024: Istanbul and Contemporary Architectural Practices.” It was carried out in collaboration with the Association for Architectural Education (MimED), Istanbul Medipol University, Gebze Technical University, the ITU Development Foundation, ITU-ARI Teknokent, and TechnoBee®, hosting 20 architecture students.
Throughout the program, a wide range of events — including seminars, panels, workshops, idea competitions, and site visits — were organized, guided by leading architects, academics, and professionals from the sector.
